Read ourEveryone who bought into Mike Vrabel’s redemption game narrative against the Titans was rewarded. Are obvious narratives keeping you alive in 2025? Meanwhile, Daniel Jones, Jonathan Taylor and the burgeoning Colts own the largest advantage as 14.5-point favorites over the Titans. If you’re still standing in your Survivor pool or pick’em league, here’s our strategy guide for Week 8 as the hierarchy of the season begins to take shape.I think we’re in a safe zone with Joe Flacco after two weeks under his belt and a heroic performance of 342 yards and three touchdowns in last week’s 33-31 upset of the Steelers. Flacco fed Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins a combined total of 33 targets. Sauce Gardner is in concussion protocol, which leaves this Jets secondary in an extra precarious spot — especially one who has still yet to pick off the quarterback one time.Tyrod Taylor should provide more competence for the Jets under center, although I’m not sure how much the journeyman can make up for the predictable and inefficient play calling.Their best weapon in Garrett Wilson remains out of the lineup. These are the No. 29 and No. 31 offenses head-to-head, but one ranks there from bad luck while the other from systematic dysfunction. I realize this one could seem like a sweat with the short week for Tampa Bay on the road and Mike Evans now out of the picture.Baker Mayfield is 4-1 in his career against New Orleans — two of those games blowout wins for the Bucs at the Superdome. He spreads the ball around enough to get the most out of this offense while his rapport with Emeka Egbuka grows larger by the week. There’s not much of a ceiling on the Saints’ side; Spencer Rattler and the offense have hit 20+ points only twice. Rattler was just picked off three times against Chicago and now draws Todd Bowles’ ultra aggressive blitz rate.Sean Treppedi handicaps the NFL, NHL, MLB and college football for the New York Post. He primarily focuses on picks that reflect market value while tracking trends to mitigate risk.Vividseats: Official Ticketing Partner of New York Post
