Charissa Thompson will host the pregame show alongside Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Richard Sherman, Andrew Whitworth, Taylor Rooks and Michael Smith. Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit will call the game with Kaylee Hartung serving as the sideline reporter.It’s a smart piece of business for Amazon — and here’s why. This game is going to draw a ton of free promotion because of the uniqueness of holding a game the day after Thanksgiving. Amazon obviously wants exposure for its Prime Video
product, and this will be one of the highest-profile opportunities in 2023 to introduce curious fans to the production. I would expect the game to draw significant eyeballs — for Amazon, significant would mean 12 to 18 million-plus viewers— especially if the NFL provides Prime Video an interesting matchup. The league historically has scheduled a strong game for new initiatives. They’ll want this programming window to do well.
The NFL already holds three games on Thanksgiving as part of a long-standing tradition. Now, fans can watch more of the NFL over the holiday weekend.
