Workers get Levi's Stadium ready for Super Bowl LX between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots in Santa Clara, Calif., Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026., NFL Chief of Security Cathy Lanier said during a news conference Tuesday that there would not be any ICE enforcement operations during the Super Bowl.
“We are confident of that,” Lanier said via Jhabvala. “There is not ICE deployed with us at this Super Bowl and I don’t believe there has been in the last several.”added that Lanier went further, saying the NFL has a great relationship with the federal government and that she does not anticipate any “surprise ICE presence.”was asked during a news conference about ICE’s presence at the Super Bowl after Department of Homeland Security Secretarypreviously stated agents would be in the Santa Clara area for the game. Goodell did not directly address ICE’s potential role, he instead focused on the federal, state and local law enforcement element of security. “We’re working with all three of those levels and doing everything we can to make sure it’s a safe environment,” Goodell said. “The federal government is a big part of that, including this administration and every other administration before that.
