The decision comes as President Trump has taken aim at DEI.

The NFL has done away with the “End Racism” slogan that was painted in the back of the endzone, but apparently that was not enough to make some folks happy.

Check out social media and you will see folks promising to boycott Sunday’s Super Bowl LIX between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, still.Well, the league has decided to keep the singing of “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” also called the Black National Anthem, prior to the game. Grammy-winning artist Ledisi is slated to sing the song this year, and it will come with President Donald Trump, whose administration has been at war with diversity, equity and inclusion since he was sworn in for his second term, in attendance.Patrick Mahomes, Donald Trump, Tommy Tuberville and the weirdest, most inexplicable story of Super Bowl weekThe inclusion of the song prior to major sporting events has long been singled out and attacked by Republicans.

“President Trump will be there,” someone responded. “He will likely talk about their being one National Anthem.”“Do we still need this song?” one person wrote. But there were plenty of folks, too, who were happy to see Ledisi get the opportunity. If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
