The filmmaker was a writer and producer on 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife.'
, which included Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace, are expected to return for the sequel, which will be set in New York City. TheKenan will also produce with Jason Reitman, the filmmaker who helmedand co-writing the script with Reitman. The duo co-wrote the sequel to the new installment.
“It’s an absolute honor to pick up the proton pack and step behind the camera for the next chapter of the Spengler family saga. I just wish I could go back to 1984 and tell the kid in the sixth row of the Mann Valley West that one day he was going to get to direct a Ghostbusters film,” said Kenan in a statement.. Sony has set a release date of Dec. 20, 2023 for the film.
