A newly-wed Nottingham woman has been announced as the winner of a £2 million house competition. The six-bedroom four-storey villa, situated in the Park Estate, was put up for grabs as part of a contest launched in March.
Win My Home, which ran the competition, announced on its website that Loreta, from Nottingham, had won the prize draw. The post said she had only been married for two-and-a-half months and was looking for a new home with her husband. "Congratulations to our Winner, Loreta from Nottingham! Newly married of 2.5 months, she and her husband have been looking to buy their first home together!" reads the website. "We’re so happy for you both and wish you all the best for your next chapter."Previous owner, businessman Elliot Andrew, decided to raffle off the house after renovating every room since buying the property in 2016. Entrants were able to select a number of packages ranging from 15 entries for £10 to 1000 entries for £350. People could also have a free punt with a singular postal entry before the competition closed on July 31.View gallery Speaking previously to Nottinghamshire Live, Mr Andrew said he hoped to see the home go to a local family. "I'd love to see someone younger than me that's maybe got a new family, a couple of little kids, local people," he said.
"That would be great, I would be delighted. It would genuinely change their lives, as opposed to someone who doesn't need it."
