PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie started their journey by winning matches on badminton court. Now, they have won each other's heart.
Shevon has been playing mixed doubles with Soon Huat since 2016 and in end of December 2022, they got engaged after Soon Huat made a surprise proposal in Maldives."The best thing about Soon Huat is that he cares so much about others, always putting others first before himself," said Shevon. An equally elated Soon Huat said:"I became her mixed doubles partner on Oct 24 and many years later, through many challenges and injuries, we are still here, competing in major world badminton tournaments together, as a partner, on and off court."
