Newcastle United play their first Champions League home game in two decades as they face Paris Saint-Germain in Group F
A lack of European football over the last couple of decades means that a lot of these experiences are completely alien for Newcastle and many of their fans, particularly the younger ones.As they harbour hopes of lifting the Champions League for the first time in their history, PSG are seen as a significant scalp for almost all of their opponents in this competition and Newcastle will feel no different.
An ankle injury scare has not kept Kylian Mbappe down as he is included in the squad that has travelled to England. Three-time Champions League winner Keylor Navas is back in that squad after missing out on the draw with Clermont Foot at the weekend. Harvey Barnes became the latest player to sustain a long-term injury in the 8-0 win against Sheffield United and that issue with his foot is likely to keep him out until the new year.
There is some good news, though, as Sandro Tonali is fit to feature. Meanwhile, Anthony Gordon's one-match suspension is Premier League-specific so he is also available.
