Baraka denounced the raid as a violation of the Fourth Amendment and vowed to oppose such unlawful terrorization of residents.
The mayor of Newark , New Jersey condemned the raid of a business by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Thursday saying the people were "unlawfully terrorized."
"Today, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided a local establishment in the City of Newark, detaining undocumented residents as well as citizens, without producing a warrant. One of the detainees is a U.S. military veteran who suffered the indignity of having the legitimacy of his military documentation questioned,"
"Newark will not stand by idly while people are being unlawfully terrorized," his statement continued.on his first day in office cracking down on immigration and the U.S.-Mexico border.that 10 or 12 agents entered the business after receiving complaints and were looking for documentation but didn't ask for anyone specific.
