The 27-time World Series champions are mulling a revenue-generating patch
on uniforms. The Yankee pinstripes already sport the Nike ‘Swoosh’ logo, which is the league’s official uniform manufacturer.
The Post report states that the advertising patches could be seen by the mid-season All-Star break or the the Yankees might wait until the 2024 season. “We continue to engage the marketplace for a jersey patch partner,” Yankees spokesperson Jason Zillo told the Post.The tradition-bound Yankees do not have player names on the backs of their uniform jerseys and it seems fans just don’t want to see further changes to the fabled pinstripes.Thanks for visiting PennLive.
