cycle that utilized podcasts to rally voters, Apple released a ranking of its popular shows from this year. This was the first year that comedian Joe Rogan had his podcast on the platform in the last three years. His show was the third-most-popular podcast afterStill, Rogan’s episode with President-elect Donald Trump in the days before the Nov. 5 election was the second-most popular episode across all Apple podcasts and the fifth-most shared.
While this ranking includes 100 countries, Apple’s subscribers make up less than a third of the music streaming market share, while Spotify’s 252 million subscribers make up 36%.didn’t even make the top 10. Three of the top 10 episodes come from Rogan, whileBoth Trump and Harris appeared on several podcasts as the respective shows’ first-time presidential candidates. Harris was invited onto every podcast that Trump appeared on but did not fit in any interviews before the election.
