The most popular football team in New York isn’t the four-time Super Bowl champion Giants or Broadway Joe’s Jets.

New Yorkers have registered with the state Department of Motor Vehicles.. Just 399 boasted Big Blue plates, followed by a measly 187 drivers with Gang Green’s insignia.

It stands to reason. The upstaters have captured back-to-back division titles and just shellacked the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams 31-10 on Thursday night. The local losers, meanwhile, are both coming off dreadful 4-13 seasons. Since December, an astounding 304 of 313 registered drivers who applied for NFL plates in New York were Bills fans.applied for the plates, and a pathetic two motorists felt the urge to brag about Big Blue. “That’s unbelievable. I thought Buffalo would [have] more than the Giants and Jets, but not that much,” said Jets superfan Ira Lieberfarb — the famed “Ira from Staten“Up there, the Bills are a big deal.

The Buffalo blitz isn’t surprising to New York actor/personal trainer Tommy Day, who snarked that the Bills “are the only team located in the state and the Jets and Giants are pretenders.”
