The mother of a 13-year-old autistic boy is suing a New York school following contradictory claims from staff about how the teenager broke his arm and why.

Joan Aslarona says her son's arm was broken after he was sent to the"crisis room" at Robert E. Peary School, a District 75 school for disabled children in Queens, New York.

Doctors at Mt. Sinai Hospital backed up her son's claims and"concluded that [he] suffered a badly fractured left humerus, and could not have sustained his injuries in a mere fall."The incident at Robert Peary school took place on April 7. Aslarona filed a notice of claim with Queens in June. The details only recently became public after a filing in Queens Supreme Court asked that the staffer in question be unmasked.
