New York Attorney General Letitia James has joined the lawfare campaign against the pro-life movement by suing crisis pregnancy centers that reverse abortions.

On Monday, James sued 11 crisis pregnancy centers, claiming that abortions are irreversible and that the centers “distort the evidence and mislead New Yorkers” by providing high doses of progesterone to women who wish to undo the effects of the abortion drug mifepristone.

In a statement, the Thomas More Society, which represents the crisis pregnancy centers, accused James of engaging in lawfare and noted that none of the organizations that have been sued are located in Manhattan, where the lawsuit was filed. It also noted that abortion pill reversal is a safe and effective treatment despite James’s claims.
