NYC is adding $12 million to support schools with migrant students.
The city says schools with six or more new students will receive an allocation of $2,000 for each child enrolled in city schools since July. Last week, Comptroller Brad Lander said the city should allocate an additional $34 million to properly serve the more than 5,500 new students.
