It marks a departure from the original framing of the franchise, which initially centered on Blunt and Krasinski’s characters trying their best to keep their family together in the midst of chaos and tragedy. “We don’t have that in this film,” Nyong’o added. “We have these disparate individuals who collide into each other’s lives, and it is at a very pivotal time for the world.
