Newvehicle sales in 2022 outperformed the previous year by 13.9% but still fell well short of pre-Covid levels.

Figures published by the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of SA on Monday showed sales of cars and commercial vehicles in December totalled 41,783, which was 16.2% more than the 35,944 units sold in December 2021. That took aggregate full-year 2022 sales to 528,963, compared with 464,493 in 2021...
