The 4.3-acre venue, which will include a 25,000-square-foot production facility to open first, is set for a groundbreaking on Jan. 7, according to company officials. Katie Baker, the brewery’s marketing and events representative, said the entire site in an old grain mill along Greenville Road is scheduled to be completed and open by December of next year.
Other features for the venue include a 10,000-square-foot taproom, an 8,000-square-foot covered patio, two beer gardens and an outdoor performance stage, a coffee shop, and game areas for adults and kids, Baker said.that the move would be a “big, audacious project.” It also serves as one piece of the East McKinney Redevelopment and Preservation initiative, whose aim is to preserve and revitalize McKinney with infrastructure improvements, new and enhanced public facilities, and the expansion of business development and redevelopment opportunities, according to the city.
