New Toyota GR Corolla Priced From AU$62K In Australia, Cheaper Than Civic Type R | Carscoops carscoops
Sitting at the base of the local GR Corolla range will be the GTS model. This variant will be offered from AU$62,300 plus on-road costs and essentially brings together parts from the entry-level Core and the mid-range Circuit Edition models sold in the United States. Most notably, Australia’s GR Corolla GTS has Torsen limited-slip differentials at both the front and rear, an important feature omitted on the U.S.’s Core variant but featured on the Circuit Edition.
Both the GR Corolla GTS and Morizo Edition models are powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine. This mill is good for 221 kW and 370 Nm in the GTS and 221 kW and 400 Nm in the Morizo Edition. Both send power through all four wheels courtesy of the carmaker’s GR-Four all-wheel drive system.The only available options is a AU$575 premium paint option for the GTS and AU$2,500 matte paint for the Morizo Edition.
