Australian engineers have developed a new technology platform that allows more than 1000 drones to be simultaneously controlled from one computer screen. 9News

Cloud Ground Control is the brainchild of tech company Advanced Navigation and drone company Ripper Corporation, and is the result of four years of development.

"When we had the NSW fires that was a really big moment. We'd already been developing it for two years and we thought wow this could really make a difference here" Advanced Corporation CEO Xavier Orr told 9News.
