A new photo released by the NYPD shows the young suspectThe 15-year-old boy was riding a northbound L train approaching East 105th Street in Canarsie around 8 p.m. Sunday when he and a stranger – believed to be a teen himself — got into a clash, police said.
As the dispute turned physical, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the teen in the hip before snatching his cellphone, cops said. The young suspect attacked the 15-year-old boy on an L train approaching East 105th Street in Canarsie, cops said.The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
The photo released about a day after the stabbing shows the still-at-large suspect – who police believe is between 15 and 17 years old – walking on the subway platform.The alleged stabber, who has a dark complexion, a beard and short dreadlocks, is seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and carrying a backpack. Police say he also wore black sweatpants at the time of the assault.
