An online tool to expedite recruitment for jobs in the law enforcement sector is now available, Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted announced on Tuesday.aims to better connect agencies with those interested in applying. Prospective employees using the site are connected with up-to-date job postings from the more than 900 agencies in the state, and applicants may search by agency or location.

"Our law enforcement agencies are struggling to fill their essential positions, which are crucial for safe communities," Husted said in a media release. "This specialized recruitment tool will give them a recruiting edge and save them time and money."was also launched. This campaign's goal is to help point anyone interested in joining law enforcement toward the Office of Law Enforcement Recruitment within the Ohio Department of Public Safety.

Officials said this comes as a pivotal time, saying recruitment of law enforcement officials has been challenging compared to the past. "Our administration has always aimed to invest in the tools that law enforcement agencies need to keep our communities safe, and right now, many sheriffs and police chiefs are telling us that their greatest need is more staff," Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said. "With support from OhioMeansJobs, we’re now making it easier than ever for agencies all over the state to attract qualified law enforcement professionals to fill job openings.
