Big investments were announced Tuesday by Governor Kathy Hochul to fight poverty and boost higher education throughout the Rochester-Finger Lakes region.
Governor Kathy Hochul held a press conference at Monroe Community College Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, announcing new state funding to improve education and fight poverty in the Rochester-Finger Lakes region.
During her visit to Monroe Community College, Hochul announced the state's plan to invest $2.6 billion in education across the area. MCC will receive nearly $14 million for capital improvements.
