This set of stunning new posters for the StarWars sequel movies will have you wondering when the franchise will return to this era 👀😮👏
Three brand-new pieces of Star Wars sequel trilogy poster art highlight the main characters in Disney's trilogy of mainline saga films. After Disney purchased Lucasfilm and the Star Wars property in 2012, the company announced its plans to create a new set of films set after the events of the original trilogy.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now, Star Wars Stuff tweets new Star Wars sequel trilogy poster art. Artist Devin Schoeffler created the stunning pieces, which were released in conjunction with Acme Archives, an official Star Wars licensee. The three-piece set highlights each of the sequel films, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Star Wars Episode VIII - The Last Jedi, and Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker.
Readers of the novels and comics have been brought back into the sequel era in recent years, but it remains unclear as to when the television and film sides will follow suit. Set in the time between the originals and sequels, The Mandalorian has been the most courageous in delving into sequel-era imagery and stories. Season 2 dove deeper into the cloning of force-sensitive beings with Grand Moff Gideon's kidnapping of Grogu to extract the mysterious being's blood.
Teases in recent Star Wars properties and rumors of the next film taking place shortly after the events of the saga's ninth mainline installment should provide those who resonated with the sequels some hope that a return to that era will soon hit Disney+, the big screen, or perhaps both.
