The wife of a Dansville man who has been wrongfully detained by the Taliban for nearly two years says she's thankful for a new effort to bring him home.

Sen. Chuck Schumer met with the family of Ryan Corbett , a Dansville man being held by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell jointly introduced a resolution Tuesday calling for Ryan's immediate release and condemning the wrongful detention of him and other Americans by the Taliban. "I have seen 72 cosponsors on the House resolution, and that’s amazing," Anna said Wednesday. "It’s a very high number, and now, I’m excited on the Senate side to also be gaining support and momentum. It means a lot and is very encouraging."

"A big milestone this year was our anniversary on February 20 and we celebrated 20-year apart, and that was awful," said Anna. "Caleb turned 14 on March 13th, and now, another big milestone is Ketsia’s high school graduation. We’re so worried that Ryan won’t be back for that."
