Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed a new decision regarding winger Jadon Sancho. More here! ▶

The Englishman has not played for the Red Devils since their 1-1 draw with Chelsea in October last year. After the turn of the year, amid concerns for his mental wellbeing, Sancho spent weeks on an individual training programme at Carrington following a two-month training spell in the Netherland as he was deemed to not be physically and mentally ready to be with the first team.

On 19 January, the 22-year-old returned to full training with the rest of the squad, but Ten Hag insisted the player would not be rushed back into action. With United now set to enter another busy period with eight fixtures this month alone, the Dutch manager has now confirmed that Sancho will return to the matchday squad for their Carabao Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.

"I think that Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho will return in the game squad, but Scott McTominay will still be absent," Ten Hag said in a pre-match press conference. "We have to see how that process will go.The four big names Man Utd 'rejected' on Deadline Day Sancho, who has featured in 10 EPL matches so far this season and also made four appearances in the UEFA Europa League, will be looking to add to his three goals and one assist for the campaign if he gets on the pitch against Forest.
