Ten Homebase stores are being converted as part of the Next Level Sainsbury's plan
A large Homebase store in Nottinghamshire is set to be converted into a supermarket. Sainsbury's has agreed to acquire ten Homebase stores and convert these into supermarkets as part of its Next Level Sainsbury’s plan to offer more choices to customers.
"I was there only the day before yesterday." He added that he thinks a lot of people would like the supermarket to open in the town, and appreciates that Sainsbury's will be giving interviews to employees at Homebase who now have their jobs at risk. The teacher added: "It's my favourite shop, I'm really excited." A 69-year-old who did not wish to be named has also shared his thoughts on the new store.
