NET and ASDA have worked together to install new measures
Tram users and those living near one supermarket in Hyson Green agree with measures that have been taken to avoid collisions. NET and ASDA have worked together to install new signs, traffic calming measures and have refreshed white lines at both exits of the supermarket onto Radford Road.
Ellie Cook, 24 lives near Radford Road. The student has always lived in Hyson Green since starting university in 2020.Ellie said: “I have seen a few near misses not just on Radford Road but on Noel Street as well, I think a lot of it is down to people not looking. I think the safety measures should help but people need to be extra cautious anyway near tram tracks especially when the trams are near to a busy supermarket.
Joseph, who works as caretaker, continued: “I drive near Radford Road all the time and don’t have any problems so it’s definitely down to other drivers being more careful.”
