The horrific incident took the lives of three members of the Grammy-nominated gospel group.
After the loss of radio and radar contact, the Federal Aviation Administration issued an alert notice and local law enforcement discovered that the plane crashed around 12 miles northeast of Recluse, Wyoming.“One witness located near the accident site heard a ‘loud whining noise’ that diminished and then increased followed shortly thereafter by smoke emanating from the area of the accident site,” the report read.
Also killed in the crash were Amber’s husband Nathan Kistler, their assistant Melodi Hodges, the pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa.
