A new report released Wednesday by Glynn County officials found that more than 160 public and private properties were damaged as Hurricane Helene swept through the area.

According to the report, 115 private properties were damaged and 52 public properties were damaged .Georgia Power said less than 900 customers were without power Wednesday morning in the Brunswick/Glynn County area and all traffic signals are now operational. Glynn County Public Works crews have started addressing debris on County and GDOT right of way and County facilities. This is expected to take two weeks to complete. Debris removal from drainage outfall canals will start the week of Oct. 7. County street sign restoration will begin Thursday.
