The 992 was designed from the outset to accommodate hybrid power, and Porsche is likely to play this card with the 992.2 facelift – in short, we could be looking at the first electrified 911 Turbo, and the most powerful of all.This prototype was spotted cold weather testing ahead of a projected release in 2024, and it’ll receive a light makeover as evidenced by its camouflaged bodywork.
The mild design tweaks hint that Porsche is investing in mechanical changes with the 992.2, as has traditionally been the case with the 911’s mid-life updates. As such, the Turbo could adopt the mild-hybrid system that’s already been touted for use in the standard
