A new platform launched by the Built Environment Collaborative aims to empower Cleveland residents by connecting them with training, employment assistance, and other resources in the infrastructure and clean energy sectors. The platform features tailored resources for individuals with varying educational backgrounds and offers a range of training programs, from short-term certificates to multi-year apprenticeships. It also provides support for minority and female-owned businesses, aiming to foster local economic growth and inclusivity.
The effort comes from the Built Environment Collaborative, which is a project funded by the city of Cleveland and led by Greater Cleveland Works, a workforce development board for the city and county.
Though the site is open to all Cleveland residents interested in the infrastructure and clean energy fields, the website provides tailored resources for people with high school diplomas, GEDs, or no diplomas at all, as well as people with a college degree and even high school students. For those interested in training opportunities, the programs can range from short-term certificates to multi-year apprenticeships, the release said. There are also options for people to earn college credits, industry-recognized credentials and certifications.
People can also fill out a form at the bottom of the website to be contacted about what the Built Environment Collaborative has to offer.
