Contemporary Glass Tempering LLC is building a new plant with at least 50 jobs in Ferris south of Dallas.
The $800 million deal gives Ryman Hospitality Properties Inc. a resort with 1,002 rooms and 268,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. The resort also includes the 26,000-square-foot Lantana Spa; eight food and beverage outlets; a 9-acre River Bluff water park; and TPC San Antonio featuring two 18-hole golf courses, the Greg Norman-designed Oaks Course and the Pete Dye-designed Canyons course.
The new Ferris plant will be built in the 700 block of I-45 South.is planning a $35 million apartment and mixed-use development in Ferris. The project will include more than 200 rental units on a more than 11-acre site west of I-45 between FM 664 and FM 893.has a population of about 3,000. The town was once known for its brick industry, which manufactured millions of bricks for homes and buildings throughout the state.
