A semi-detached house would become three flats with six bedrooms under a new proposal.
Flat B would have a smaller living room/kitchen and one less bedroom while flat C, in the loft, would have a kitchen/lounge half the size of flat A's and only one bedroom.A previous plan to convert the building into three flats was rejected by Watford Borough Council on September 16 last year. Planning officers said that it would “fail to provide acceptable living conditions” for those living in two of the flats and would “unacceptably” diminish the supply of family homes.
According to a planning statement for the new plan, “the applicant has amended the proposal to address the reasons for refusal”. Previously, two two-bedroom flats and one one-bedroom flat were proposed, with different internal layouts.
