New on Netflix, HBO Max and Prime Video in September 2026
Netflix, HBO Max, Prime Video

September 2026 brings new seasons, documentaries and films to Netflix, HBO Max, Prime Video, Hulu and Disney+, including The Gentlemen and Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story.

Streaming platforms Netflix, HBO Max, Prime Video, Hulu and Disney+ are rolling out a slate of new series, documentaries, films and live sports in September and October 2026, giving subscribers a wide range of returning fan-favorite shows and fresh titles. The additions arrive as Apple TV may have topped Netflix at the 2026 Emmys with the record-setting triumph of Widow's Bay, though Netflix remains the world's most popular streamer and continues to draw millions of viewers with returning shows such as The Gentlemen with Theo James and Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story.

Netflix September 2026 Lineup and Highlights

Netflix's September schedule includes the documentary Schumacher '94, which chronicles the birth of a legend, and the second season of the series Real Men. On October 10, the platform adds The New Stanford Prison Experiment and the series Did Someone Happen to Mention Me?.

Additional Netflix titles include How to Ruin Diwali: Meet the Parents, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, A Very Harold and Kumar 3-D Christmas, and Strange: Junji Ito's Tales for Sleepless Nights, Season 1. The streamer continues to lean on established franchises and star-driven projects to keep its global audience engaged.

HBO Max Films, Sports and Wellness Content

HBO Max is adding three films in September, building on its steady supply of hit blockbusters and intriguing indies. The service also carries 42 Best HBO Max Movies to Watch Right Now (September 2026), a list that includes Backrooms and more.

Hulu's September slate includes Die Hard with a Vengeance from 1995, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian from 2009, and a two-episode premiere of Shark Tank, Season 18, from ABC. Disney+ and Hulu together premiere Between Steps, Season 1, a Hulu Original, with all episodes streaming, and Benefits with Friends, Season 2, a Hulu Original, with all episodes streaming. They also launch Surviving Alaska: Women of the Wild, Season 1, with all episodes streaming, and new podcast episodes including The Mess Around with Hannah and Lamorne, Best Friends, Perfect Person and Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim.
