Hector looking at Sam in Black Doves
A new thriller on Netflix is beating some of the biggest blockbusters of the year in the latest streaming ranking. Because of the strike delays related to the writers' and actors' strikes, and also because of how long prestige series can take to move through production, Netflix made it known that some of its biggest originals wouldn't make a 2024 release date. That includes the Jenna Ortega-led supernatural horror Wednesday and the final season of Stranger Things.
Black Doves Has Topped The Streaming Charts It Consists Of Six Episodes Close ✕ Remove Ads According to new data, Black Doves is off to an impressive start. Consisting of six episodes, from creator Joe Barton, the British spy thriller is set around the holidays as four seemingly unconnected murders threaten to expose dangerous secrets and kick off a global crisis.
That interest is backed up by Reelgood, which finds that Black Doves has taken the top spot on its streaming charts for the week of November December 5 to December 11. The new Netflix show came in ahead of box office winners like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Alien: Romulus. It also beat major Taylor Sheridan series such as Yellowstone and Landman.
