A New Mexico woman is accused of shooting her friend in the back of the head and dumping his body.
by JAMIE BURCH | KVIIAshley Hall According to court documents, Hall allegedly killed Ernest Arguello, 32, on March 11 at Five Mile Park.that they got into an argument and Arguello had a gun. Scared for her life, she took the gun. Arguello began to shake and put his head on the steering wheel. Hall then shot him in the back of the head.
Hall said she dragged Arguello out of the driver's seat and then realized he might need medical attention. She said she tried to lift him and put him back in the vehicle, but he was too heavy.Hall told police she drove to Family Dollar to buy razors so she could slit her wrists. But she claimed she does not remember what happened after she got home. She told state police she suffers from Schizophrenia.
Police said Hall's mother came home around 9 p.m. and found her daughter in the bathroom having slit her wrists. She then drove her daughter to the hospital. NMSP searched Hall's vehicle and found a .22 Derringer revolver in the front passenger door panel. Two shots had been fired. District Attorney Timothy Rose filed a motion asking for Hall to be held without bond until after the trial.A detention and preliminary hearing is scheduled for on March 27.
