New Mexico State University announced Friday it has suspended its men's basketball program and placed head coach Greg Heiar and staff on administrative leave.

He was reportedly lured to the campus by 19-year-old Brandon Travis and three other NMSU students, including a 17-year-old girl. Travis was also shot during the exchange and later died from his injuries.
