“What I’ll say is, the first thing I learned is restricted free agency sucks. It’s something that as players, it’s like one of those things that will just be an issue and that’s something we probably have to discuss later on down the line. It prevents a lot of movement and also kind of can make a player not necessarily have the options that he wants to as he goes. At the same time, I learned that free agency is also stressful.
“It’s one of those where I was pretty much sold on a couple teams that I knew I could go to. Like immediately, I would want to go to and it took them a while. It took like probably seven days because of restricted free agency. If you’re getting an offer sheet like the situation that I was in, where you had to get an offer sheet or a sign-and-trade with a team, you have to wait like probably six days before you can really put it down.
