A team of special effects engineers have developed a unique vehicle called 'The StormCell' to combat the raging wildfires in Los Angeles County. The StormCell utilizes powerful jet engines to push back against the winds that fuel the spread of wildfires, reaching speeds of up to 300 miles per hour. It also deploys suppressant chemicals to help extinguish flames. This off-road capable vehicle, costing $150,000 to build, is designed to navigate narrow areas and protect evacuation routes.

Steve built The StormCell with a team of other special effects engineers, all of whom work on major feature films. They started building on Tuesday and are ready to roll it out today.Wolf says he's in contact with L.A.'s incident management team and firefighting community about where the powerful machine can best be used. He anticipates it will help protect evacuation routes so citizens can safely escape.
