A New Jersey man has been charged with the murder of his wife after her body was discovered in a dumpster in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, over the weekend. Rolando Corte, 42, faces charges of first-degree murder in the death of 39-year-old Lucrecia Jadan Sumba, according to the Union County Prosecutor's Office in New Jersey . Sumba was reported missing from Elizabeth, New Jersey , on January 9th by concerned friends and family. Prosecutors believe she was murdered last Wednesday.
Corte, Sumba's husband, was identified as a suspect and apprehended on Sunday. He is currently being held at the Union County Jail, awaiting a court appearance scheduled for Thursday.The woman's body was found in a dumpster located on South 3rd Street in Coopersburg just before 6 p.m. on Saturday, as reported by police. An autopsy conducted by the county coroner revealed that Sumba's cause of death was sharp force injuries, and her death was officially ruled a homicide. The prosecutor's office stated that a collaborative investigation involving the Union County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force, the Elizabeth Police Department, the Coopersburg Police Department, and the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office led to the identification and arrest of Corte
