On Wednesday, the Assembly Telecommunications and Utility Committee held a hearing with South Jersey utility providers and the state Board of Public Utilities. "With all due respect, sir, I'd have to see the numbers myself," said Phillip Vavala, the regional president of Atlantic City Electric.The same question was posed to AC Electric about the SBC, which stands for the Societal Benefits Charge."I don't have an answer to that," responded Vavala."Everyone that we sample tested, including those that were identified by customers as a high bill complaint, were tested to be between the BPU standard of 99.7% to 100.
