Dwumfour was a 30-year-old Republican member of the Borough Council since 2022, and served as chair of the public safety committee and the council’s liaison to the borough’s Human Relations Commission. “We were just at our HRC meeting January 5th 2023 and I just saw her this morning at the store. I remember saying to her I see you at the HRC meeting tomorrow not knowing tonight was going to be the end of her life,” the statement read. “I can't stop crying. She was 30 years young and full of life. You will be missed my dear, precious friend.”
“She was a woman full of life. … When a fellow commissioner messaged me, I couldn't believe that this can happen in my town,” Chitnis wrote.
