Atlas Restaurant Group will replace its closed Ouzo Bay with Azumi, featuring upscale...
The Baltimore-based Atlas announced that it will bring the second location of its Azumi to River Oaks District, 4444 Westheimer in winter 2023. The restaurant will make its home in the space of Atlas’ now-closed Ouzo Bay, adjacent to sister restaurant Loch Bar. The Greek-inspired Mediterranean restaurant; at the time Atlas stated it intended to refresh its ROD space by bringing in a concept from its portfolio of restaurants.
Azumi, an upscale Japanese restaurant with interactive hibachi and teppanyaki dining experiences, will be the brand’s second location after the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore. The Baltimore restaurant’s menu includes robata selections cooked barbecue-style over binchotan charcoal, tempura dishes, sushi platters, specialty rolls, sashimi and nigiri, seafood entrees, and steaks including Australian and Japanese wagyu.
The Ouzo Bay space will be redesigned with Japanese aesthetics and will include a main dining room, sushi bar, and omakase tasting room. The dining room will have seating for 130 and additional terrace seating for 78. “We’re excited to bring the culinary artistry of Azumi to Houston’s vibrant dining epicenter, River Oaks District, and look forward to creating lasting memories for guests,” said Alex Smith, president and CEO of Atlas Restaurant Group. “At Azumi, our focus will be the presentation of a sophisticated and immersive Japanese dining experience that finds harmony and balance in both the traditional and innovative.
