Irving's planning commission has given approval for a huge new Las Colinas office campus.

Las Colinas development approved by planning commission will be for a new Wells Fargo employment center, property brokers say.

“We are partnering with our confidential client to develop this project,” David Fisk, senior vice president at KDC, told the planning panel. “This first phase is 800,000 square feet of offices and is proposed for 4,000 employees.” Fisk said the first phase of the campus would include two buildings that were shown in architects’ renderings to be about 10 floors each. The planned offices would be connected to a large parking garage with a pedestrian bridge across Promenade Parkway.

Along with the new offices, Irving’s planning commission gave a thumbs up to a connected mixed-use development that would include between 340 and 400 apartments plus restaurant and retail space. Dallas architect GFF designed the project. “It connects beautifully with the Music Factory across the street and connects with the overall neighborhood,” Maddox said.
