Body-worn camera footage of a July 4th fatal officer-involved shooting at Yellowstone National Park has been released.
National Parks law enforcement officers later identified this man as another concession employee, Samson Lucas Bariah Fussner.The police report for this incident stated that Fussner threatened to kill the woman and carry out mass shootings at the park’s food and beverage area and July 4th events.NPS officers responded to Yellowstone’s food and beverage area and began searching the area.
“At 8:05 a.m., Fussner emerged from the woods with a semi-automatic rifle and encountered an NPS law enforcement officer near the Canyon Lodge,” park officials said. Fussner then fired at the officer. Fussner was then shot for a second time by another officer. At that point, a third officer approached Fussner and took his rifle. A semi-automatic pistol and multiple magazines for the semi-automatic rifle were also found on Fussner.
