The hotel is expected to be completed by the summer of 2023.
“The demand for a second hotel became a priority as soon as the Towne Suites was built. We are pleased to be associated with Doradus Partners, a local company that is developing the Fairfield Inn and Suites project,” James Lomax, COPT’s Huntsville VP of Asset Management & Leasing, said in the announcement.
Redstone Gateway consists of 17 class-A office buildings totaling 1.5 million square feet that are 97% occupied, plus another six buildings under construction that will add 816,000 square feet, the announcement said. The park’s existing amenities include The Shops at Redstone Gateway which includes 19,200 square feet of retail space, including three restaurants and a conference center.
“We are excited to bring Fairfield Inn and Suites to the Redstone Gateway campus. The need for a second hotel was obvious as Huntsville and Redstone Arsenal expands to meet the demands of new companies moving here,” Srinath Yedla, CEO of Doradus Partners, said in the announcement.
