New Hope Housing Berry addresses the critical need for affordable housing in Houston by offering 180 apartment homes for individuals and families with limited incomes. The community features one, two, and three-bedroom units, each equipped with modern amenities such as a full kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, and energy-efficient appliances, tailored for residents earning 60% or less of the Area Median Income .is also supporting the expansion of affordable housing in the Greater Northside. “With a facility just across the street that offers job training, a community boutique, and a food pantry, we are deeply invested in creating opportunity-rich environments for residents. New Hope Housing Berry builds on that momentum, strengthening the neighborhood and ensuring families have access to the resources they need to thrive,” said Jamie Bryant, CEO of the Houston Housing Authority.The community will also welcome a tuition-free Bezos Academy preschool in mid-2026, offering Montessori-inspired education to Berry residents and local families. This preschool complements the family-centric amenities available at Berry, including a splash pad, playground, dog park, and fitness center.The development was made possible through partnerships with the Houston Housing Authority, Garcia + Associates Architects, GSMA Architects, and Camden Builders.
