Kelce dove into what is wrong with Kansas City's offense and how things can improve from here on out.
In yet another game, the Kansas City Chiefs' offense came up well short of expectations against its opponent. In Week 8, it was bad enough for the team to lose to the Denver Broncos on the road.
Kansas City is feeling a sense of urgency to turn things around on offense, especially considering how well the other side of the ball is playing. On a new episode of thewith his brother Jason, Travis Kelce referred to the Chiefs as playing"one-sided" football right now. The All-Pro tight end also pointed out some fundamental execution flaws, taking accountability for his own play as well.
"We've got the best, in my mind, the best offensive mind in the game we've got the best quarterback, so it's unacceptable. And we all feel that way, so don't think that we're not in this thing feeling the urgency. We've just got to go out there and freaking do it. It starts with not killing ourselves, man. Just daggers. Guys running the wrong routes , guys not making blocks , guys dropping the football . It's frustrating, and it's a challenge.
There could be some truth to the energy element, as multiple members of the Chiefs organization spoke on Sunday evening and hinted at it potentially factoring into the game. Kansas City wasn't in the right mindset and didn't come off as totally prepared for what their AFC West rivals threw at them, leading to the club's most embarrassing performance of the 2023 campaign to date.
