People have been calling this film “Wall Street” for the #MeToo era. I think this is “Wall Street” for the post-#MeToo era. In terms of how people treat each other in that world, I would say that #MeToo never hit the finance world. Those guys can pretty much still do whatever they want and not face the kind of repercussions that have happened across other industries. So there is this notion where the boss is going to champion because he believes in her. He believes she can make him money.
